Your district can afford to bring live theatre to every student!
Each year, more than 180 schools in New York State bring live professional theatre to over 100,000 students in grades K–12 — and enhance learning at a remarkably low cost.
How? Through the K–12 Sequential Dramatics Program, produced by Merry-Go-Round Youth Theatre. With more than 40 years of expertise, we are a pioneer and a leader in arts education.
Our complete series of curriculum-based plays, classroom lessons, and creative workshops spans the school year to provide a continuum of learning across the grade levels.
As standards evolve, so do we.
New York State schools have transitioned to NYS Learning Standards and we’ve made the “shift” with you.
We are committed to enhancing your curriculum delivery—well beyond simply entertaining your students.
The Sequential Dramatics Program supports NYS Learning Standards for English Language Arts. Certain grade levels also include history, social studies, science, and math components.
A “staircase of complexity” is built into our K-12 program. We help each grade attain readiness goals with progressive concepts, syntax, and vocabulary.
Our program began decades ago in consultation with educators. As student learning objectives evolve, we continue to consult with administrative and teaching professionals from New York State school districts to adapt and refine our content.
Are your students benefiting from the exciting experience of educational theatre?
